Reminder about snow removal ordinances

t has been a mild fall so far but snow will be arriving any day now so it is a good time to review the winter parking and snow removal ordinances in Kenyon.
The winter parking rules are that it is unlawful for any person to park a vehicle on any city street after a continuous or intermittent snowfall where there has been an accumulation of two or more inches of snow.
This requirement is in effect until all snow, ice and similar debris has been plowed or removed from the paved portion of the street, curb to curb.
All vehicles not removed will be ticketed and/or towed.
There is also an ordinance involving sidewalks.
Property owners are reminded that all ice and snow must be removed from sidewalks with 24 hours after the snow or precipitation causing the condition has stopped.
All sidewalks abutting Highways 56 and 60 between Langford and Spring Streets must be clear of all ice and snow within 12 hours.
