Byron man killed in holiday crash

A Byron man has been killed in a Thanksgiving Day crash in Olmsted County.
The State Patrol identified the victim as Casey W. Beach, 24. Two other people received non-life threatening injuries in the three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 52 north of Chatfield. They were Thomas E. Collins, 29, of St. Louis Park and Ashley J. Farley, 32, of Eagan. Two others escaped injury in the crash. 
According to the patrol, Beach was driving a Honda Civic northbound and collided head-on with a southbound GMC Acadia. A third vehicle going northbound swerved to avoid the vehicles after the crash and rolled over in the ditch. 
The patrol said witnesses at the scene reported Beach’s vehicle had crossed the centerline several times prior to the crash before finally going over into the southbound side and colliding with an on-coming vehicle. Weather was not a factor, the patrol added.
All three drivers were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not believed to the a factor, the patrol reported.
