Triton, Hayfield begins track season
The Triton and Hayfield track teams took a trip down to Mankato last weekend, to compete in an indoor track meet at Mankato State.
For the girls, Hayfield’s Breanna Subbert finished second in the 55 meter dash with a time of 8.35, Romina Medina finished third with a time of 8.36 for Triton, and Jessica Hukee finished fifth with a time of 8.63.
In the 200 meter dash, Romina Medina finished fourth with a time of 31.42 for Triton, and Hayfield’s Addison Rieck finished fifth with a time of 31.43.
Triton’s Olivia Weber won the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:06.16, and Hadley Doman won the 800 with a time of 2:51.29 for Hayfield.
In the 1,600 Doman won with a time of 5:52.05, and Triton’s Autumn Froyum finished fifth with a time of 6:24.51.
Weber won the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 10.21, Triton’s Brylee Reniker came in third with a time of 10.73, Aidree Van Beek came in fifth for Triton with a time of 10.78, and Addison Rieck came in sixth with a time of 11.11.
Hayfield’s Breanna Subbert came in second in the long jump after jumping 13-11.5, and Triton’s Jessica Hukee finished fifth jumping 11-08.75.
Rieck also finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 28-10.25.
Subbert finished second in the shot put with a throw of 32-04.5, and Kendyl Beyer finished sixth for Hayfield with a throw of 24-11.75.
Weber cleared 4-08 in the high jump to finish second, Hayfield’s Aviana Alexander also jumped 4-08, Hayfield’s Brielle Alexander cleared 4-04 to finish fifth, and Van Beek cleared 4-02 to finish sixth.
In the boys meet, Hayfield’s Easton Johnson ran 7.03 in the boys 55 meter dash to finish second, and Triton’s Christian Valdez Miranda Jr. finished sixth with a time of 7.3.
Johnson also finished second in the 200 meter run with a time of 25.15.
In the 400 meter run Miguel Martinez finished second for Triton with a time of 59.33, and Triton’s Aaron Knutdson finished sixth with a time of 1:04.
Triton’s Nerak Korbisch finished second in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:2.72, and Hayfield’s Jens Tidemann finished sixth with a time of 2:42.75.
In the 1,600, Triton’s Angel Mata-Colin finished second with a time of 5:21.81, Tidemann finished fourth with a time of 5:51.50, and Triton’s Reinaldo Salazar finished fifth with a time of 5:54.9.
Triton’s Diego Ibarra finished fourth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 11.15.
Pierce Petersohn won the high jump for Triton after clearing 6-04. Knutson cleared 5-02, to finish second, and Triton’s Nerak Korbisch cleared 5 feet to finish sixth.
Mata Colin cleared 7 feet in the pole vault to finish in third place.
In the long jump Ashton Beckman finished second after jumping 17-05.25
In the triple jump Triton’s Braxton Koss jumped 32-07.5 to finish fifth.
Brad Staub finished second in the shot put for Triton with a throw of 43-08.75, and Craig Knuston finished third with a throw of 43-02.5.
Triton’s Kaleb Kruse finished sixth with a throw of 35-04.
