Byron boys soccer earns academic honors

With a 3.66 team overall GPA the Byron boys soccer team was one of 114 teams across the country to be 2023-2024 High School Team Academic Award winner.
“A total of 290 soccer teams (114 boys, 176 girls) posted a team grade point average of 3.25 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year. Of that total, 32 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized,” a news release stated.
The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
