Triton/K-W/Hayfield Girls Soccer gets shut out in season opener

The Triton/K-W/Hayfield Girls Soccer team didn’t have the results the team was looking for in its opening matchup against Caledonia last Thursday.
Despite the 7-0 loss, Head Coach Jeremy Himli still found some positives.
Thursday night we played at Caledonia in the season opener. We lost 7-0.
“Alyssa Knudson had 20 saves in net,” Himli wrote following the game. “Junior McKenzy Purinton and 7th grader Rebekah Henslin each had their first career starts.”
Next up will be a Friday night matchup at Tri-City United.
In other area matchups, the Kasson-Mantorville Girls Soccer team beat Austin 7-0 to start the season, and tied with Park High School of Cottage Grove 2-2 in the second game of the season.
