It was a busy week for area high school wrestlers as Byron and Triton boys were at the Bombers Invite, the Byron girls at The Clash in LaCrosse, Westfield at a quadrangular, and the KoMets at the Cheesehead in Wisconsin.

Byron Lady grapplersat The Clash
LA CROSSE, Wis. — The Byron Girls Wrestling Team competed at The Clash in LaCrosse, Wis., on Friday and Saturday, January 5-6, which was the first time the Bears competed as girls in a dual format. Injuries prevented Byron from having a full team, hence there were multiple forfeits. “Though our girls went 0-6, they wrestled very well, overall,” said Coach Ryan Radke.
Westfield grapplers at quadrangular
The Westfield wrestling team competed in the Grand Meadow-LeRoy/Ostrander-Southland Bulldogs quadrangular, on Thursday, January 4. As a team, the Razorbacks went 0-2. Westfield individuals who were 2-0 on the day: 139 Bo Zwiener, 215 Ty Bronson.

KoMets grapplers at annual Cheesehead Invite
KAUKAUNA, Wis. — It’s unknown how much cheese the Kasson-Mantorville wrestling squad consumed over the weekend, but they most assuredly got in their share of wrestling. The K-M boys competed in the Cheesehead Invitational Wrestling Tournament, on Friday and Saturday, January 5 and 6, at Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
