KoMet football award winners for the 2023 season

Kasson-Mantorville’s football team finished another successful campaign for 2023. Head Coach Joel Swanson distributed awards to the team, and in this writer’s opinion, Coach Swanson deserves tons of accolades as well.

All District: Casein Thome, junior; Kyle Nelson, senior; Easton Suess, senior; Tyler Paulson, senior; Dominic Mann, senior; Jeremiah Peterson, sophomore. All District Special Awards: Academic Award: Spencer Anderson, senior; Offensive Lineman: Tyler Paulson, senior; Defensive Back: Jeremiah Peterson, sophomore; Why We Play Award: Bennett Brown, senior; MVP: Easton Suess, senior.
Other “Team” Awards: Unsung Hero: Bennett Brown, senior; FAMILY Award (Forget About Me I Love You): Peter Gillis, senior and Kyle Nelson, senior; Special Teams: Sam Graunke, junior; Most Improved Player: Adam Darveaux, senior; Scout Squad Player of the Year: Aiden Kujath, junior. The whole team earned the following awards: Section runner-up; District Champions for the regular season; All-State Academic for class 4A, GOLD Award.
