William "Bill" Ness, 83, Kasson

William "Bill" Ness, age 83, passed away peacefully of natural causes in the presence of family on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Woodbury Senior Living Center. Bill was born in 1940 in rural Kasson MN to Verna and Francis Ness and graduated from Kasson HS in 1958. He was a graduate of Mankato State College where he was a 4-year varsity track and cross-country athlete. He came to Litchfield in 1962 and was a member of the LHS faculty for 36 years where he taught 7th grade science, founded and coached cross country, coached track, was a driver's education instructor, refereed HS basketball and football, was middle school athletic director, and was the middle school assistant principal. Bill is the father of Jason, Christopher, and Colette who are all LHS graduates.
