Mantorville to pick interim councilmember Monday

With the Jan. 10 passing of Lyle Hoaglund, the Mantorville City Council is set to pick an interim city councilmember to fill the rest of his term.
Jerrod Kappers, Laura Schroeder, Anthony Meyers, Holly Scmidt, and William Reding all applied for the position.
“The Council reviews the applications, takes a counting ballot among themselves at the meeting, and then appoints at the meeting,” Mantorville City Clerk-Treasurer Gretchen Lohrbach said.
The meeting is set for March 9, 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Mantorville City Hall.
