Lions give out hearing awards
Larry Berghuis, left, and Mark Packard, far right, present Walt Wyttenbach and Frank Ness, shown in the middle, with the Hearing Foundation Award by K-M Lions for their contributions to the group’s club projects. Also shown, second from left is Dale Lipke, 5M1 district governor from Byron. The club donates money to the Lions Hearing Foundation each year and reached a donation level so that two awards could be awarded this year. Even though they are not Lion members, Ness has donated his time plus uses his tractor and loader to load tons of scrap into the dumpsters for the annual community scrap metal collection project in October, and for several years, Wyttenbach has donated LP gas for the club’s gas grill used for Festival in the Park, Marigold Days and tailgate cook outs at K-M football games.
