A lifetime of banking in West Concord

When he started his job at Farmer’s State Bank in West Concord in 1966, Al Organ didn’t know he’d still be working at the bank fifty years later. 
“When we came here, we thought we were going to stay here three to five years, and it ended up being a little longer than that,” Organ said, laughing.
In 1966, Farmer’s State Bank owner Aldrich Iverson hired Organ to work at the West Concord branch. The Wisconsin native had previously worked at a bank in St. Paul before making the move to West Concord. 
“We were looking for a small community to move to, because I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisc. so it was my ideal job.”
Now, he is celebrating fifty years of working at the bank in West Concord. After Iverson passed away in 1980, Organ and his family purchased the bank. Since then, the family has expanded the business. His wife and
