KM drops Friday game to Austin 2-1

We had quite the pitcher's duel Friday evening in Kasson as the KoMets took on the Austin Packers.The KoMets took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first after Dalton Maxwell singled to bring in Mitch Nelson. The Packers responded with one of their own, however, on a walk and an error. The back and forth pitchers’ duel continued from there as the score remained 1-1 until the top of the seventh when the Packers were able to scratch across one run on a hit and an error. The KoMets were unable to get anything going in the bottom of the seventh, falling to Austin 2-1. Dalton Maxwell led the way on the mound tossing six no hit innings and surrendering one unearned run.
