Joyce B. Sievert, 88, Utica

Joyce B. Sievert, 88 of Utica, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Benedictine — St. Anne in Winona.
Joyce was born on June 21, 1933 in Rushford to Eli and Sadie (Hawkinson) Glenna. Joyce graduated from the VoTech’s cosmetology program. She married Russel Denzer, had six children together and lived in Minnesota City. They later divorced.
She married Leland Rain, had one child and lived in California. They later divorced.
On June 23, 1979 she married Mark Sievert at St. Martin’s in Winona. Together they lived in Owatonna for 10 years before moving to Kasson and eventually making their home near family in Utica. She and Mark enjoyed going to flee markets together every weekend. She enjoyed shopping and polka dancing. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mark; children, Russ Denzer, Duane Denzer, Steve (Cheryl) Denzer, Donna (Dave) Fenske, and Lee (Deena) Rain; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; children, Richard and Diane Denzer; and siblings, Deloris Marks, Vernes Gudmundson, Delaine Graves, Lorraine Dickson, Earl Glenna, Ione Bates, Helen Burt, Shirley La Muir
A funeral service was held Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Hoff Funeral Home, St. Charles, led by Funeral Celebrant Jen Corcoran. Joyce was laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery.
