Jimmy’s returns to Kasson

They’re back.
The family that years ago owned the franchising/licensing company for the Jimmy’s Pizza restaurants including the one in Kasson, has returned with a food truck called Jimmy’s Pizza and Broaster Chicken. It opened in early November.
Located at 11 East Veterans Memorial Highway in Kasson, the truck’s specialties are pizza and chicken. The team bringing it to Kasson is made up of Jim Gordon, Jimmy Gordon and Josh Gordon — father and two sons. They’ll be open year-round at their permanent location.
“It’s the same franchise and the same pizza” as before, said Jimmy Gordon. “We’re the same family with my dad, me and my brother doing this together. We always did really well here in Kasson, so we’re excited to get it opened back up again.”
The last Jimmy’s restaurant opened decades ago, he said. They closed it around 2020.
“We’ve got a lot of knowledge behind what we’re doing,” he said. “With a food truck you can pick a good location. There’s high visibility and easy access to our truck.”
“The store had done really well in Kasson for a long, long time. We are excited to get back into the community there and serve all the folks there,” Jimmy Gordon said.
The hours for the new truck are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. The menu includes calzones, pasta, bread bowls, salads, pizza and chicken.
“The pizza and chicken are what we specialize in,” Jimmy Gordon said. “The chicken is really exceptional. So is the pizza. They will both do really well.”
