Ex school board member appears to regain seat

With 11 out of 13 precincts reporting, as of 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Amy Olson has appeared to regain the seat she vacated last month on the Kasson-Mantorville School Board.
Olson at the time of publication for this story was second in the vote totals with Elizabeth Armstrong leading with 21.22%, followed by Olson with 20.77%, Aaron Stockard who had 20.12% and Eric Mesa with 19.37%.
If the election results hold up, Pat Walsh would be the one candidate not elected to the K-M School Board.
West Concord
West Concord Mayor Jeff McCool was leading with 70.9% of the vote with 29.10% voting for a write-in candidate.
In the city council race, Karen Johnson was leading with 35.06% of the vote with Jeffery J Burse in second with 31.99%. Two candidates are elected with Nicholas Kilen trailing with 30.37% of the vote.
District 24A
For state rep incumbent republican state Rep. Duane Quam was in the lead with 67.88% of the vote, while Heather Holmes had 31.99% of the vote.
Dodge Center
In the Dodge Center City Council race Cathy Skogen, and Braedon Dostal had significant leads over their competitors.
Uncontested Races
Some of the races were uncontested which included the Triton School Board with Rebecca Knutson, Jim Jensen, and Scott Curran expected to be elected.
For Kasson Mayor Dan Eggler had 93.27% of the vote, while city council candidate Brian Wempner 46.35% of the vote and Mel Ferris had 51.84% of the vote.
In Byron, which featured a competitive school board, and a levy referendum question on the ballot, only two out of 11 precincts had results reported.
