Dodge County Expo ready for 25th year

The 25th Dodge County Business Expo will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 29.
Located at Triton High School, organizers expect 100 businesses and organizations to serve as vendors and as many as 3,000 people to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
It’s geared for all ages, including families, with musical acts the Rockin’ Hep Cats and Chris Rollo, as well as Just For Kix and Rookie the Clown.
The weather will impact how many people attend, said Dan Rabe, chairman of the business Expo committee. Expo draws include five food vendors as well as a breakfast for a quarter, served starting at 8 a.m. “until the food is gone,” he said.
Vendors are Dodge County businesses and organizations, such as construction outfits, churches, FFA, Casey’s, banks, lawyers, electricians and the Dodge County Republicans and Democrats.
“If people want to find out what’s available in Dodge County, it’s a good place to go,” Rabe said. “In one location you can walk through and find out about a lot of different businesses. The entertainment is fun too.”
For vendors, it’s a good, easy way to showcase your business with 3,000 people coming through the door in a six-hour period of time. “You get a lot of exposure,” he said. “It’s promoting what Dodge County has to offer. And maybe it’ll help people decide they want to live in one of the communities located in the county.”
Additionally, it’s a social event for people who enjoy reconnecting with neighbors or people they haven’t seen since the last Expo, he said.
“It’s a good way to get a good feel for what Dodge County has for businesses going on within the county,” Rabe said. “It’s one day and you can cover a lot of stuff in the six hours the Expo goes on.”
