David Edward Aarsvold, 84, Kasson

David Edward Aarsvold, 84, of Kasson, MN passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Saint Mary’s Campus in Rochester.
David was born on January 7, 1940, in Kasson to Phillip and Joyce (Morrill) Aarsvold.  He attended school in Kasson. He married Linda L. Carson in 1959, in Faribault. They later divorced. He married his soulmate, Clara Brueske on June 1, 1968, at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. He worked as a truck driver for Wilson Refrigerator out of Rochester. Trucking over the road was his passion. He loved horses, always looking forward to his trips horseback riding in South Dakota with Joe Pike and family. He loved spending time with his grandkids, attending their sporting events, and watching them show in 4-H. He was a member of South Zumbro Lutheran Church in Kasson.
David is survived by his wife, Clara Aarsvold of Kasson; son, Brad (Becky) Aarsvold of Zumbrota; daughters, Cindy Reim of Faribault, and Gail (Bill) Gross of Lady Lake, FL; brothers, Jack Aarsvold of Fountain Hills, AZ, Dan Aarsvold of Rocheste, Ted (Jill Anderson) Aarsvold of Grand Meadow, Mark (Ruthie) Aarsvold of Bastrup, TX; sisters, Char (Al) Hamm of Orlando, FL, Chris (Woody) Laughnan of Rockland, CA, and Rev. Becky (Rev. Rick) Senner of Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, Liza, Lane, Craig, Tate, Jake, Jennifer, and Tiffany; six great-grandchildren, Harper, Elena, Adalina and Andres, Cheyenne, and Kayleigh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Violet Aarsvold and Joyce and Norval Bacon; three sisters, Patricia (Rod) Lenten, Sharon (Bob) Gangloff, and Tamara Aarsvold; and three brothers, Steve (Jeannie) Aarsvold, Thomas Aarsvold, and Clifford Aarsvold; and sister-in-law, Csilla Aarsvold.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2024, at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, 68905 280th Ave, Kasson, with Pastor Pete Wyttenbach officiating. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in South Zumbro Lutheran Cemetery in Kasson. Following the Interment, there will be a lunch served in South Zumbro Lutheran Fellowship Hall.
