Byron Community Foundation fundraiser March 28

It’s almost time for the annual Byron Community Foundation’s Wine, Spirits and Craft Beer Festival.
This year’s event is set for March. 28, at Somerby Golf Club, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Tickets may be purchased online at https://bit.ly/40EQA2n.
The Byron Community Foundation is dedicated to strengthening and enhancing the Byron community by engaging its citizens, building a sense of community and connecting resources where needed. It is a tool for the philanthropy of individuals, families, businesses and other organizations desiring to make a lasting contribution to the community.
The Foundation awarded $19,000 in Community Grants in 2024.
Grantees included the City of Byron, Byron High School (art boxes), Byron Robotics, Byron Wrestling Club, Byron Youth Volleyball Association, Semcac Rolling Hills Transit, The Byron Cemetery Association, Byron Post Prom, Byron Youth Soccer Association, EA Therapeutics, Girls on the Run, Boy Scouts of America Hiawatha Council (Oliver Nicholas Project, Salt & Light Partners and Byron Youth Fastpitch Association.
The Board members of the Foundation include President Jill Cordes, Vice President Angie LeTourneau, Secretary Emily Hamilton, Treasurer Chad Bielen, Jennifer Busch, Melissa Manley, Alex Lair, Diego Correa, Don Huston, Kathy Harnowski and Lynn Garry.
