Triton wins opening meet

Triton track and field kicked off its 2026 season with a strong start, winning its indoor meet last week at Mankato State University.
On the boys side, the Cobras won the meet which featured six other southeast Minnesota schools.
The boys team scored 114 points, 37 points more than the second best JWP/WEM.
Hayfield finished the meet in sixth place with a score of 42.
On the girls side the Cobras finished in fourth place scoring 42 points, while Hayfield wasn’t far behind scoring 40 points which was good enough for fifth place.
JWP/WEM won the meet scoring 136.5 points.
