A Message from the Superintendent: Looking ahead to a strong 2026

As we approach the end of another year in Hayfield Community Schools, I want to take a moment to reflect on what makes this district such a remarkable place to learn, work, and grow. The holiday season naturally brings a spirit of gratitude, and as I look back on 2025 and ahead toward 2026, I am filled with appreciation for our students, staff, families, and community members who continue to support our mission in countless ways.

Senseless drunk driving needs to stop

But Thanksgiving is now over, and it means one thing: It’s time to celebrate Christmas in full force.

Upset by Byron credit card issues

The announcement that the Byron Public School administration failed to properly document credit card purchases to the tune of almost $60,000 is very upsetting for a couple of reasons.

The Trumpet’s Bluster

Against the heavens doth the Trumpet sound,
Whose brazen bluster knows no check or bound.
His truth, a weathercock that spins and veers,
