“Dogsbreath Devereaux” is written by Billy St. John and directed by Bob Soland. The show runs Aug. 7-23: Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. The shows are held at the Mantorville Opera House: 5 5th St. West, Mantorville, Minn.
About the show: the dastardly Dr. Dogsbreath Devereaux becomes the director of the Hanover D. Cash Clinic and problems arise. Someone is looking to marry wealthy widow Lotta Cash to inherit her fortune and the clinic. Additionally, eccentric patients drop by the clinic with distractions. Will widow Cash get married? What will happen to the nurse Wendy? Watch out, laughter is going to be contagious!
Meet the cast/crew: Dr. Dogsbreath Devereaux is played by Zachary Trapp with Dr. Phil Good played by Thackery Schar. The nurses are played by Amy Majsterski as Hilda Hatchet, Temperance Moffatt as Wendy March, and Anna Majsterski as Ivy Dripp. Doreen Coleman portrays Lotta Cash. Officer Tommy Gunn is played by Josiah Desannoy. Sister Sunbeam, the minister, is played by Michelle Salo Tumberg. Other characters include Ward Helper played by Landon Warner and Felix Herr, Trixie St. James played by Amber Butler, the patients played by Madysen Nelson, and the announcer played by AJ Broring. Lydia Tate brings the music to the show as the pianist. Melodramas are family friendly.
