The 2026-27 school year has arrived! Personally, I love summer, but I always look forward to the energy, excitement, and enthusiasm of a new school year. Preparing for a successful school year begins long before the prior school year ends. Additionally, many employees work throughout the summer to make sure our buildings, educational materials, technology and curriculum are ready for learning. A very special thank you goes out to our administrators, technology staff, district office staff, transportation staff, and our building and maintenance department for their ongoing hard work and support throughout the summer months. Their efforts will enable us to have a positive and productive start to the school year.
We have some new faces at Triton Schools this year. I am excited to formally introduce our new staff members. Thank you for helping give our new teammates a warm Cobra welcome!
Grace Hanson — Elementary Music Teacher
Ms. Hanson is beginning her first year as a music teacher. She graduated from Lawrence University and is looking forward to getting started and meeting her students, colleagues, and the Triton families.
Jennifer Grove — Special Education Coordinator
Ms. Grove will be employed by ZED as the Triton Coordinator. She is starting her 30th year in education and has served both as a teacher and administrator. In her free time, she enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, and watching Ted Lasso.
Emma Ogren — High School Special Education Teacher
Ms. Ogren is from Dodge Center and is a Triton High School and University of Wisconsin — River Falls graduate. She is looking forward to creating a classroom where students are supported, challenged, and excited to learn.
Jenny Justice — Middle School Special Education Teacher
Ms. Justice is beginning her 21st year as a teacher. She graduated from Augsburg College. In her free time, she enjoys getting outside with her dog and watching her grandson play soccer.
Just as it is exciting to welcome our new teammates, we have also started a tradition of recognizing staff members reaching employment milestones at Triton. Their dedication to education, resilience in navigating the changes in the profession, and their ability to adapt to an ever-changing educational landscape deserve our gratitude and appreciation. We thank them for their extraordinary service!
Thank you for taking the time to read this article. Please let me know if you have any comments, questions, or ideas for improvement. I hope you and your families are having a positive start to the 2026-27 school year.
