Annika Hall of Byron, and Annika Hall of Chisago Lakes exchanged jerseys after the two runners with the same name met at the Roy Griak meet last month.

Two high school cross country runners with the same name raced last month.
“Cross Country running creates some interesting connections,” Byron girls cross country coach Tom O’Leary said. “ Byron has an athlete named Annika Hall, a great young lady who loves to compete. Chicago Lakes has an athlete named Annika Hall, also a great young lady who loves to compete.”
O’Leary said the two runners had the chance to meet at the Roy Griak meet held at Fort Snelling Golf course, and they exchanged jerseys with messages for each other.
“It was a super fun, light moment that we were lucky to share between Annika Hall and Annika Hall,” O’Leary said.
