PASSING OF THE KEYS

Almost four decades ago, Bryan Johnson began his career as a driver's education teacher for Kasson-Mantorville.
Although, he will still be continuing to teach the course this fall, he will be passing off his responsibility of being the drivers education coordinator, to Dillon Denter, who has been teaching driver's education under Johnson for almost a decade.

K-M Class of 2019 remembered as leaders

Four years ago, Kasson-Mantorville High School Principal Trent Langemo, and a freshman class started at the school together.
Now four years later, that same class walked across the graduation stage, on Sunday.

End of school year bittersweet for two Triton Elementary staff members

When the buses pull away from Triton Elementary School on the last day of classes next month, it will be a bittersweet day for Julie Bowman and Cindy Lutterman.
The two women, who have worked for the school for 36 and 28 years respectively, will be retiring at the end of the year.

New elementary principal hired, Lutterman named secondary principal

The Triton School Board approved a number of personnel decisions Monday night, several of which indicated a new direction for the administration.
Contracts were approved for Mary Morem as elementary school principal and Luke Lutterman as secondary school principal. A contract for Shane VanBeek as activities director/dean of students was also approved as well as his request for a one year leave of absence from his teaching contract.

BHS once again recognIzed as one of nation's best

Last week U.S News and World Report came out with its list of top schools in the nation.
Included on that list is Byron High School.
Principal Steve Willman said that having the school recognized in that way is a true honor.

K-M’s Goihl lands new opportunity at River Falls High School

Since she began her career in education, Kasson-Mantorville High School English teacher and teaching and learning coach Lisa Goihl has always taken advantage of different opportunities presented to her.
That's why this September, she will begin her next chapter in education, as the assistant principal of Instructional Leadership at River Falls High School in River Falls, Wis.

Retiring supt. reflects on 32 years in education

Sitting in his office in the Triton Administration area of the school, Superintendent Brett Joyce reflected on his career as he prepares to retire at the end of the current school year.
“I’ve enjoyed my career in education,” he said. “I wouldn’t have done anything else.”
