Triton Choir concerts slated for Dec. 14

The choirs of Triton Middle School and Triton High School will present an evening of choral music on Monday, Dec. 14, in the Triton Performing Arts Center.
The evening will be divided into three concerts in order accommodate the large audiences.

Triton student to lead state student group

Triton High School Senior Charles Groll will be leading the Minnesota Business Professionals of America group for the next year.
He was elected president of the group at the fall BPA Leadership Conference.

K-M sixth graders learn lifelong skills on trip to Eagle Bluff

Earlier this month Kasson Mantorville Middle School sixth-grade students went beyond the school walls to learn about nature on the annual trip to the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro. 
The lead teacher of the trip, Matt Nelson, estimated that there were 165 students and 40 chaperones that participated. This year marks the seventh year the sixth-grade class has made the trip. 

Kenyon-Wanamingo students named to Honor Choirs

Five students at Kenyon-Wanamingo Middle School have been selected for the Minnesota 7th and 8th Grade Boys’ and Girls’ Honors Choirs. The selections were made by the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota.
Students selected included Tate Erlandson, Daniel Cruz and John Helland. Seventh graders were Clay Stevenson and McKenzie Clemons.
One hundred forty girls and 140 boys were selected from throughout Minnesota.

Foreign exchange students loving experience at Kasson-Mantorville

Juniors Eslin Smit and Hildur Gunnarsdottir have loved their experience so far at Kasson-Mantorville High School and can’t wait for the experiences they are yet to have. 
The two foreign exchange students arrived in the United States this past August and will stay the remainder of the school year and head back to their home countries in June. 

K-M grad receives award for her courage

College can be a stressful time with all of the homework, essays and exams, but for Kasson-Mantorville High School graduate Nancy (Tietz) Lovaas it was even more challenging, as she was diagnosed with cancer halfway through. 
Lovaas was awarded the 2015 Sandy Schumacher Courage Award from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in October for her perseverance during the hard times.
