Denice "Nicci" Ann Baier, 68, Claremont
Denice "Nicci" Ann Baier, 68, of Claremont, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Owatonna, Minn.
Denice was born Nov. 29, 1957, in Rochester, Minn. Denice attended Owatonna High School, Class of 1976, later receiving her GED. Denice married Mark Hendrickson in 1975, and later divorced. They had three children, Chris, Jessica and Shannon. Denice married John Baier in September 1986, and became a stepmom to three children, Jenny, Amy and David.
Denice worked at Truth Inc., in Owatonna, retiring after over 19 years, making many friends. Denice was employed at Kwik Trip for over 16 years in Owatonna, then transferred to the store in Dodge Center. Denice enjoyed shopping, crocheting, camping and spending time with her friends and family. Denice took many camping vacations with all six children and extended family. Denice enjoyed travelling, taking motorhome trips across several states, she was planning to take a trip to Greece next year.
Denice is survived by her husband, John Baier; daughter, Jessica Hendrickson of Owatonna, Minn.; stepdaughter; Amy (Darrin) Morrissey of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Debe (Tom) Grunklee, Owatonna, Minn.; brothers, Dennis (Cheryl) Grems, Rick (Debbie) Grems, Randy Grems; eight grandchildren, Kayla, Arieanna, Kourtney, Branden, Jimmy, Johnny, Ryan and Mylie; six great-grandchildren and three more on the way; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Denice was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Grems and Joan Putratz; her boys, Chris and Shannon Hendrickson; stepdaughter, Jenny (Donnie) Coffee; and stepson, David Baier.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2026, at Praise Fellowship Church, 602 Central Ave S in Dodge Center, Minn., with Pastor Roger Langworthy officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the church.
