Huneke steps down as K-M activities director
Kasson-Mantorville activities director Kyle Huneke has tendered his resignation after three years on the job. Hueneke is leaving to take a position at Riverland Community College in Austin to become a Farm Business Management Instructor.
For Huneke, the position was an opportunity to go back to his roots dating back to growing up on a farm in Goodhue.
“I’ve always been kind of pulled back to agriculture due to where I grew up,” Huneke explained. “I was in that program six years ago and I enjoyed it, so it was a career that I was interested in pursuing.”
While he leaves the position, he has fond memories of his three years and appreciates the opportunity and challenges that the K-M job presented.
“I enjoyed working with all the coaches and students,” Huneke said. “It was fun getting to know all the kids and everybody in the K-M community a lot better. It was also great to understand the bigger picture of high school sports and activities in general.”
The job is currently posted for applicants until July 9
