The following case was heard in Dodge County District Court the week of May 21 with Judge Debra A. Groehler presiding:

Chad R. Mussell, 50, Plainview, previously appeared and was convicted of felony possession of firearm. He was sentenced to $1,274.86, 98 days in county jail, no possession of firearms, chemical dependency evaluation, no alcohol or controlled substance use, cognitive skill training, do not enter liquor establishments, mental health evaluation, complete drug court, 50 hours of community service and 5 years of supervised probation.

Blotter Spotlight: Vandalism: On May 17 at 11:54 a.m., deputies received a report that solar panels had been damaged in the 61800 block of 240th Ave. in Mantorville.

Juvenile: Deputies received a juvenile complaint from the 400 block of Meadow Lark Lane in Dodge Center at 8:24 p.m.

Disturbance: Deputies responded to a disturbance at Center Ave. S. and 1st St. SE in Hayfield at 8:48 p.m.

Disturbance: At 10:55 p.m., a disturbance occurred on 2nd Ave. NW in Dodge Center.

May 18

Threats: Deputies responded to a subject making threats in the 100 block of 6th Ave. NE in Hayfield at 1:42 p.m.

Juvenile: Deputies received a juvenile complaint from the 500 block of 1st St. NE in Hayfield at 4:45 p.m.

Harassment: At 9:13 p.m., a harassment incident occurred in the 73500 block of 170th Ave. in Hayfield.

May 19

Juvenile: Deputies received a juvenile complaint from 6th Ave. SE in Hayfield at 12:49 a.m.

Vandalism: At 10:26 a.m., toilet paper was found on trees in the 18600 block of State Hwy. 30 in Hayfield.

Domestic: Deputies responded to a juvenile out of control in the 60900 block of 252nd Ave. in Mantorville at 4:49 p.m.

Threats: At 5:46 p.m., a Mantorville resident reported receiving a threatening phone call.

May 20

Suspicion: At 1:42 a.m., deputies found a pick-up truck with lights on at a construction site at Airport Dr. S. and 2nd St. SE in Dodge Center.

Larceny: At 3:26 p.m., a storage unit was broken into in the 500 block of U.S. Hwy. 14 in Claremont.

Suspicion: At 4:05 p.m., a male was sleeping in his vehicle in the 400 block of 2nd St. NE in Dodge Center.

Assault: Deputies responded to an assault in the 100 block of Main St. in West Concord at 4:34 p.m.

Disturbance: At 5:04 p.m., a verbal disturbance occurred in the 10600 block of 570th St. in West Concord.

Juvenile: Deputies received a juvenile complaint from the 20800 block of 600th St. in Dodge Center at 10:03 p.m.

Disturbance: Deputies responded to subjects being unruly and threatening in the 800 block of Hwy. St. W. in Dodge Center at 10:38 p.m.

Disturbance: At 11:06 p.m., a disturbance occurred at 4th St. W. and Walnut St. in Mantorville.

Disturbance: Deputies responded to a verbal dispute in the 200 block of Front St. W. in Claremont at 8:44 a.m.

Assault: At 10:23 a.m., an assault occurred in the 800 block of Hwy. St. W. in Dodge Center.

Disturbance: At 12:54 p.m., a juvenile was out of control in the 25800 block of 655th St. in Kasson.

Littering: At 1:45 p.m., trash was found in a ditch in the 27400 block of 575th St. in Mantorville.

Assault: At 5:01 p.m., an assault occurred in the 800 block of Hwy. St. W. in Dodge Center.

Assault: Deputies responded to an assault in the 200 block of Front St. W. in Claremont at 5:30 p.m.

Disturbance: Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of 3rd St. NW in Dodge Center at 9:39 p.m.

May 22

Disturbance: Deputies responded to a disturbance at Hayfield High School at 10:22 a.m.

Harassment: At 5:10 p.m., a harassment incident occurred in the 67200 block of 200th Ave. in Dodge Center.

May 23

Forgery: At 11:04 a.m., check forgery was reported in the 61100 block of 265th Ave. in Mantorville.

Domestic: Deputies responded to a domestic at State Hwy. 56 and 300th St. in Waltham at 3:53 p.m.

Juveniles: At 8:22 p.m., juveniles were arguing in the 100 block of 5th St. SW in Dodge Center.

Fraud: Officer took a fraud report in the 400 block of 5th St. SE at 10:09 a.m.

Vandalism: At 3:17 p.m., storage units were broken into in the 800 block of 7th St. SE.

Juvenile: Police received a juvenile complaint regarding a stroller theft and environmental dumping at 8th St. NW and 8th Ave. NW at 4:56 p.m.

Animal: Police received an animal complaint from Hy-Vee at 5:55 p.m.

Probation: Officer conducted a probation check in the 500 block of Veterans Memorial Highway W. at 10:09 p.m.

May 18

Welfare: Officers conducted welfare checks in the 600 block of 7th Ave. NE at 8:21 a.m.

Suspicion: Police responded to suspicious activity at 8th St. NW and 14th Ave. NW at 11:37 a.m. and the 600 block of Veterans Memorial Highway W. at 1:44 p.m.

Harassment: At 12:01 p.m., a harassment incident occurred in the 300 block of 15th Ave. NW.

Fraud: Officer took a fraud report in the 200 block of 5th Ave. NW at 3:33 p.m.

Juvenile: Police received a juvenile complaint from Main St. E. and 2nd Ave. NE at 7:49 p.m.

May 19

Child Protection: Police received a child protection report from the 600 block of 16th St. NE at 11:45 a.m.

Juvenile: Police received a juvenile complaint from the 100 block of 16th St. NE at 2:05 p.m.

Sex Offense: Officers began an investigation of a possible sex offense in the city at 2:16 p.m.

Crash: At 3:09 p.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred in the 100 block of 16th St. NE.

Welfare: Officer conducted a welfare check in the 1000 block of 3rd St. NE at 3:11 p.m. and the 300 block of 6th St. SW at 7:18 p.m.

Suspicion: Police responded to suspicious activity on 2nd Ave. NW at 6:05 p.m.

May 20

Disturbance: Officers responded to a dispute over parking on the street in the 1100 block of Parkview Ave. NW at 9:58 a.m. They mediated it on the scene.

Juvenile: At 4:20 p.m., several children were in the median at State Hwy. 57 and U.S. Hwy. 14.

Juvenile: Officers responded to a juvenile yelling in the 600 block of 3rd St. NW at 4:32 p.m.

Environment: At 4:40 p.m., items were dumped at a building site in the 600 block of 22nd St. NE.

Animal: Police received an animal complaint from the 200 block of 2nd Ave. SW at 6:31 p.m.

Suspicion: Officers responded to suspicious activity in the 800 block of 7th St. SE at 6:33 p.m. and the 300 block of 5th St. SE at 7:01 p.m.

Tampering: At 8:03 p.m., a vehicle was tampered with in the 400 block of Mantorville Ave. S.

Intoxication: Officers responded to an intoxicated subject in the 500 block of 4th Ave. NE at 10:23 p.m.

May 21

Animal: Police received an animal complaint from 4th St. SW and 2nd Ave. SW at 11 a.m.

Domestic: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of 2nd Ave. SW at 11:03 a.m.

May 22

Environment: At 7:44 a.m., a littering incident occurred in the 400 block of Commerce Dr. SE.

Welfare: Officer conducted a welfare check in the 900 block of 3rd St. SE at 10:52 a.m.

Child Neglect: Police began an investigation of child neglect in the 1500 block of 3rd St. NW at 10:59 a.m.

May 23

Suspicion: Officers responded to suspicious activity in the 300 block of Countryview St. at 8:14 p.m.
