PLANNING COMMISSION 

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE  

The Dodge County Planning Commission will meet Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the south wing of the Government Services Building in Mantorville, MN.  Listed below are items that will be included on this meeting agenda.  Public comment will be received during the public hearing portion of the meeting.  When the public hearing portion is closed the Planning Commission will act on the requests.  

The first public hearing is to consider an application for a Conditional Use Permit to allow a Solar Energy Farm in the Urban Expansion District. The parcel is 28.3 acres and the Solar Energy Farm (Solar Garden) will cover approximately 3.81 acres located in the SE ¼ of the NE ¼ Section 29 Mantorville Township. Zumbro Garden LLC / Nokomis Energy LLC is the applicant and Jeff Ulve is the property owner. 

The second public hearing is to consider an application for a Conditional Use Permit to allow a Solar Energy Farm in the Ag District. The parcel is 160 acres and the Solar Energy Farm (Solar Garden) will cover approximately 4.29 acres located in the E ½ of the SW ¼, Section 25 Mantorville Township. Maston Garden LLC / Nokomis Energy LLC is the applicant and Michael Sullivan is the property owner. 

The third public hearing is to consider a General Development Concept Plan (GDCP) for a new Major Subdivision. The proposed subdivision is approximately 93.13 acres parcel located in the SE ¼ of the SW ¼, & the unplatted land S of the South Branch Middle Fork of the Zumbro River in the SE ¼, Section 18 and the E ½  of the  NW ¼, Section 19  Mantorville Township. G-Cubed / Brad Vrieze is the applicant and Roller Rink Properties, LLC  is the property owner. 

The fourth public hearing is to consider an amendment to the Dodge County Zoning Ordinance. The proposed language amends Chapter 6: Nonconformities, Chapter 16: Performance Standards, Chapter 17: General Development Standards, Chapter 18: Administration, Chapter 19: Enforcement, and Chapter 21: Subsurface Sewage Treatment System (SSTS).  To view the proposed language a copy will be available at the Dodge County Finance Office, the Dodge County Environmental Services Office and also on the County web site www.co.dodge.mn.us. / Departments/Environmental Services.
