Trump’s true colors remain the same

It appears that the US economy is pretty solid compared to other countries. Inflation is lower, gas prices have stabilized and actually are down about 50 cents from last year, unemployment is lower, we have the biggest year of job growth in America’s history, the pandemic is over, people are traveling and seem to be spending money, there is a bipartisan infrastructure law to help improve roads and bridges, work is being done on controlling the climate crisis, there is expanding healthcare for millions of Americans, a CHIPS and Science Act was signed which helps create good-paying jobs, important gun violence reduction legislation was passed (but more needs to be done in restricting AK14s), drug prices are being curbed, the stock market is up, border crossings are down, and there was a bipartisan immigration bill that was unfortunately “nixed” by someone. Not Fake news.

Everyone is not going to agree on everything all the time, but these spell out some positive issues that affect everyone. As always, more work needs to be done.

After getting a second chance at life, one would think the ex-President would lower the temperature, but his true “colors of character” remain the same. I can’t help but think of the mocking of a disabled newsman or making fun of the stuttering of President Biden. The disrespect towards Vets (“losers and suckers”) and those beaten and died on insurrection day is reprehensible. The list goes on…

The DNC brought out the big guns with the Obamas and Clintons and even a good true Republican, Adam Kinzinger. The best the RNC (Trump National Convention) could do is Kid Rock and Hulk Hogan ripping his shirt off. Sad, sickening, and shameful.

Many who rallied against the ex-President now rally for him. VP pick J. D. Vance once called him America’s Hitler. This is the ultimate in political hypocrisy, to say nothing about the Christian Nationalists who support the ex-President. Remember — Jesus taught by example. I give credit to Pence for standing by his Christian values and not supporting the ex-President. Why would he — they wanted to hang him.

One can vote for character, freedom, decency, and respect or NOT. The phrase “Make America Great Again” is an oxymoron. With all the different issues, we still live in the greatest nation in the world. God bless America!
