Robert “Bob” Paul Seifert, 54, Rochester
Robert “Bob” Paul Seifert, 54, passed away on Aug. 25, 2016, after losing his battle with alcoholism Bob Seifert was born and raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin on Oct. 1, 1961. He was the youngest of five children and the only son of Robert Leo Seifert and Regina Margaret (Powell) Seifert.
In 1986, he met his wife, Laura Lippert, and they were married on Aug. 22, 1987. He then worked and received a Master’s of Theology at the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. After graduating, Bob and his family served as Missionaries in Malawi, Africa for four years. When they returned to the US, he served as a minister for another 12 years to churches in Washington and Minnesota before resigning. Bob was a Clinical Assistant at the NW Clinic of Mayo Clinic.
Bob was strong in his faith. He was an affectionate and compassionate person. He loved to listen and learn about music and played the drums and guitar. He was also creative and skilled at drawing, painting and writing.
He leaves his wife of 29 years, Laura Seifert; his son, Jacob Seifert; his daughter, Kelsey (Daniel) McLaughlin; his daughter, Rebecca (Michael McLaughlin) Seifert; his daughter, Tatianna (Ciaran) O’Driscoll, his grandchildren, Logan and Christopher McLaughlin and many close friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and sister, Jeanne Seifert.
A funeral service and visitation was held on Aug. 30 at Community Celebration Church in Kasson. There will be no burial.
