Edward “Ed” Diderrich, 64, Kasson

Mr. Diderrich, 64 died, April 13 after a courageous battle with PSP.
Edward William Diderrich was born September 1, 1951 in Lake City, MN to Irvin and Helen (Laqua) Diderrich. He graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in 1969. On March 18, 1978 he married Donna Marie Donovan at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They made their home in Kasson, MN.
Ed joined the Air Force in 1974 through June of 1981. He was a member of the American Legion and later joined the Color Guard. Ed had a 41 year career with St. Mary’s Hospital and Mayo Clinic.
Ed enjoyed dancing, country-western music, working on cars and painting them, hunting, going to the hunting cabin and target shooting. He took pride in mowing the lawn and taking care ofthe yard. Ed loved being a father and grandfather. His eyes would smile when he heard and saw his grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons, Brent (Kristin) of Wanamingo, Troy of Eyota, Lance of Rochester; his grandchildren Kylee, Emilee, Jackson, Brooklyn, Joshua; his father, Irvin of Viola; his brothers, Irv (Joan) of Sheridan, WY, Tim of Hammond; sister Sue (Mike) Mueller of Rochester; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Edward William; his mother, Helen; brother, Thomas; paternal grandparents, Edward and Leola Diderrich; maternal grandparents, Herman and Clara Laqua.

The funeral for Edward William Diderrich was held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kasson with the Reverend Paul Surprenant officiating. Burial was at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Pine Island.
