Donald Blaeser, 88, West Concord

Donald “Sam” L. Blaeser, 88, of West Concord, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Cottagewood Senior Community in Rochester.

Donald was born December 7, 1927, in West Concord to Gilbert and Elsie (Sorn) Blaeser. He was a graduate of West Concord High School. Donald served in the United States Army from October 25, 1950, until his honorable discharge on October 6, 1952. Donald worked at several truck and gas station companies including Avery Trucking Service in West Concord. He was a private chauffeur for H.J. Harwick of Rochester for 10 years and retired in 1978.

He is survived by many cousins. and was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 29, 2016 at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord Chapel with visitation earlier in the day. Interment was in the Concord Cemetery in Concord Township with full military honors conducted by Kenyon Color Guard. Memorials are preferred to United Methodist Church, West Concord.
