Dianna Esther Rinn, 78, Kasson

Dianna Esther Rinn, 78, a longtime resident of Kasson, MN passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Mayo Clinic St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester. She was born on June 16, 1946 to Leonard and Iva (Korinta) Molacek in Detroit Lakes. She grew up in Ogema and attended Waubun High school, graduating in 1964. She moved to Minneapolis where she met the love of her life, John “Pete” Peter Rinn and they married on June 7, 1969 in Callaway. The couple then moved to Rochester, then to Kasson where they built their home and raised their family. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage together and were blessed with two children Michelle and Randy. She was a homemaker, then started working at Kasson-Mantorville schools as a custodian. Her husband Pete eventually joined her and they worked together at the school for many years. Dianna loved gardening, especially her flower gardens. She enjoyed cooking and baking as well. Dianna and her husband loved to ride around town with their golf cart and make it up to the Dodge County Fair every year. She loved traveling with her husband, especially on Jag Bus tours where they met many friends on their travels. Dianna adored her three grandchildren Peter, Madison, and Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Iva Molacek; and her loving husband of 53 years, John “Pete” Peter Rinn.
She is survived by her children Michelle (Daniel) McLane of Jackson, WI and Randy Rinn of Kasson; grandchildren Peter McLane of Port Washington, WI, Madison McLane of Jackson, WI, and Joseph Rinn of Mankato; siblings Richard Molacek, Arlene (Jim) Kelly, Mike (Frances) Molacek, Patty Haverkamp, and Paul (LaVonne) Molacek along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Celebration of Life for Dianna will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22 2025, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE, Kasson with visitation two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. Margaret’s Cemetery in Mantorville.
Memorials are preferred to the family for donation to cancer research.
