Dean Lowell Dahle, 82, Hayfield

Dean Lowell Dahle, 82, of Hayfield, MN was called home to his Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Dean was born to Stanley Dean and Dorothy (Lewis) Dahle on October 24, 1942, in Hayfield, MN during a raging snowstorm. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1961. Dean married Christine Shaw on December 16, 1967, celebrating 57 years of marriage. They were blessed with three children Timothy, Amy and Kevin.
Dean worked at Woodruff Company in Rochester for 42 years, retiring in 2010. He carpooled with a group he called "his ladies" for many years. The stories and laughs will forever be cherished by all.
He loved deer hunting and fishing with his buddies at "John's" cabin. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends and going to the casino. Dean and Chris enjoyed many years of camping and boating in Pepin, WI.
His high honor was being the only boy and baby of the family so there is a good possibility that he got away with much more than his older sisters. Dean also enjoyed playing harmless pranks on friends and family. His manicured green lawn was his pride and joy. He loved playing and visiting with his grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Dean is survived by his wife Chris; son Kevin (Crystal) of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter-in-law, Brenda Dahle of Genoa, WI; son-in-law, Bruce Broin of Kasson; sister, Kathryn (Vernon) DeRaad of Austin; brother-in-law, Steve Shaw of Hugo; sister-in-law, Kathy (Dennis) Eckard of Bella Vista, AR; 8 grandchildren,; 2 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great- grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Dorothy Dahle; son Timothy (2021); daughter, Amy (2022); sister, Judy Stoelk (2024); sister-in-law, Karen Shaw (2021); and brother in-law, Richard Shaw (2012).
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st St SE, in Hayfield with Pastor Kristin Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 501 2nd St NW in Hayfield and one hour prior to her service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery in Hayfield.
