Arlan L. Brase, 75, Owatonna

Arlan L. Brase, age 75, of Owatonna, passed away Monday Jan. 25, 2016, at the Owatonna Hospital.
Friends greeted the family from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 28 at the Brick - Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd.) and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. on Friday Jan. 29, at the Associated Church, Owatonna, with Rev. Jim Oberg presiding. Interment was at Owatonna Memorial Gardens.
Arlan was born Aug. 9, 1940, in Waseca to parents Anton “Tony” and Lillian (Ewest) Brase. He was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church near Meridian. Arlan graduated from Waseca Agriculture School in 1958. In the summer of 1966, Arlan married Deloris Quaintance. He was a small business owner of AB Liquor and AB Trucking.
He enjoyed meeting new people and could always be seen striking up a conversation with anyone. Besides that, Arlan enjoyed his family and grandchildren, watching their sports, plays and dance recitals.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris; two sons, Ryan, of Owatonna, and Robb (Marne) of Littleton, CO; daughter, Michele (Arthur) Hanson, of Owatonna; four grandsons, Chase and Preston Hanson, Anton and Gaven Brase; one granddaughter, Kaylin Hanson; and many nieces and nephews. Arlan was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bonnie Strong.
