Reserve your Cookie Tin at Kasson Oktoberfest

Be ready for Christmas celebration in Mantorville

Olde Fashioned Christmas in Mantorville isn’t until December 7, however, the Mantorville Chamber of Commerce is offering you a chance to reserve your 2024 limited edition cookie tin this Saturday to make sure you will have one come December.

The cookie tin is used to collect a variety of holiday cookies at many participating businesses or some folks purchase them as keepsakes. The tins cost $20.

During Kasson Oktoberfest, Saturday, Sept. 28, a section of Main Street will be blocked off between McKern Financial and Kasson American Legion. There you will find a Vendor Market, go to the Mantorville Restoration Association booth to prepay and reserve your cookie tin. The Vendor Market runs 1:30-3:30 p.m. (Oktoberfest begins at 12:30)

Each year the Mantorville Art Guild collaborates with the Mantorville Chamber of Commerce to choose a winner for the cookie tin design. Area artists and photographers submit their designs that highlight a Mantorville landmark or event. This year’s winner is Mary Ayshford, who also won in 2022.

Unique each year, the cookie tins become collectibles. The Mantorville Chamber has ordered the tins and you can reserve yours at Kasson Oktoberfest. When the tins arrive, prepaid participants may pick up their cookie tin at the Chocolate Shoppe with a proof of purchase.
