Easter Egg Hunts coming this Saturday

The Easter Bunny will be in Dodge County this weekend as Mantorville, Hayfield and West Concord all hold their annual Easter Egg Hunts.

Activities in Mantorville get under way at 9 a.m. at Riverside Park with the Easter Bunny planning on being at the park from 9 to
9:30 a.m.

The annual egg hunt will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Those attending are asked to bring a donation for the Dodge County Food Shelf.

Mantorville’s celebration is sponsored by the Mantorville Area Chamber of Commerce, Thrivent Hubbell house and KMTELECOM.

In Hayfield the Egg Hunt is scheduled for 10 a.m. At Earl Himle Park (Pool Park). Children 10 and under are invited to participate. The event is sponsored by the Hayfield Lions Club.

Also scheduled for 10 a.m. is an Egg Hunt at West Concord’s Lions Park. The event will be held rain, snow or sunshine, organizers said, and it will be “first come first served” for finding the eggs. There will be no slotted times for the different ages and the hunt will continue until the eggs are gone.

Parents are asked to limit each child to six eggs so there are enough for all.

Although no official appearance by the Easter Bunny has been announced, there are rumors that “a surprise may ‘hop’ on by.”

The event is sponsored by the Cardinal Club of West Concord, City of West Concord and the West Concord Historical Society.
