Allen, Kenworthy running for re-election
Two Dodge County Commissioners will be running for re-election in November.
There will be two seats up for grabs this year with John Allen running for re-election in District 1 which includes Mantorville Township, Milton Township, City of Kasson North Precinct — North of 16th Street and then South 16th Street NE (625th Street) including 16 Ave NE and City of Mantorville.
David Kenworthy will be running for reelection in District 5 which includes north of railroad tracks and Block 11 of the Original Plat, city of West Concord, Concord township and Wasioja township, according to the legal notice.
There will also be three Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor positions on the ballot this year including District 1, 2 and 5.
At the end of the deadline for filing on Tuesday, Richard Kenneth Alberts had filed for District 1 and Bruce Freerksen for District 2. No one filed for District 5.
Dodge County voters will also have the chance to elect someone to St. Paul, for the Minnesota House of Representatives, with longtime Republican lawmaker state Rep. Duane Quam facing off against current Byron School Board member Heather Holmes, who will be running as the endorsed DFL candidate in the District 24A race.
