Byron girls look super in opening week
Byron’s volleyballers were ready for the opening of the season. They were busy setting and slamming their way to a pair of victories. On Thursday, August 24, the Lady Bears toppled Faribault, 3-1, with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 27-29, and 25-19. Saturday’s New Prague Breakdown Classic saw the Byron girls finish off Willmar, 3-0 (set scores were 25-21, 25-21, 26-24).

Hayfield volleyball girls struggle in opener
Hayfield’s volleyball team faced a tough Fillmore Central squad on Thursday, August 24. It was a good battle, but the Falcons were too powerful for the Hayfield girls, and Fillmore Central swiped a 3-0 victory, with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, and 25-14.
