Girls' basketball

Hayfield’s Lady Vikings enjoyed another “sweeps” week recently. On Tuesday, February 7, the Hayfield girls outlasted Kenyon-Wanamingo, 51-45. Friday saw the Vikings dominate United Christian Academy, 61-16. Finishing off the week in style, Hayfield defeated Lanesboro, 59-44. (Natalie Beaver hit (6) first-half three-pointers, on her way to a game high 27 points).

Byron’s girls’ basketball team toppled Plainview-Elgin-Millville, 77-45, on Monday, February 6. On Tuesday, St. Peter defeated the Lady Bears, 70-60. Friday saw Rochester Lourdes overwhelm the Byron girls, 67-50.

Lady KoMets split the week

The Kasson-Mantorville basketball girls won a game and lost a game last week. On Tuesday, February 7, they defeated Cannon Falls, 55-36. Thursday, February 9, saw the KoMets fall to a powerful Red Wing bunch, 82-54.
