3 Byron gymnasts headed to state

Byron’s girls’ gymnastics team had a great section meet on Saturday, February 18, in Austin. The girls came up a little short of advancing as a team, but it was not due to lack of effort.

Byron finished with a new school record of 141.95 and finished second behind a very good Winona team, which scored 142.975.

“I offer special congratulations to Amber Roble, Lydia Evans and Sophia Mullenbach, on advancing to the state meet as individuals,” said Head Coach Charro Coleman.

Amber will be competing in the all-around, Lydia will be competing on floor and beam and Sophia will compete on beam. The girls will contend on Saturday, February 25.
