County-Wide Garage Sale coming up

On the days just before Mother’s Day, the Dodge County Independent and Advantage are sponsoring Dodge County’s inaugural “County-Wide Garage Sale (And Byron, too)!”

Realizing that a lot of households are doing spring cleaning and looking to clear up their basements and garages, we are suggesting that we make an annual event of it and do it in the space of one-to-three days so that potential buyers can make one fell swoop of it. So many shoppers and collectors will see this as the one weekend to devote to browse the area to find your awesome bargains.

When you fill out and submit our official form describing your sale, your address and details will be listed in both of our newspapers, the Dodge County Independent and also the Advantage. It will also be available in the FREE ONLINE VERSION of the Advantage on our website at DodgeCountyIndependent.com. Everyone in our readership area can learn about your sale!

In addition, we’re creating handy pullout pages that will include your listing and a map that will pinpoint your address and all the other addresses of official sales that weekend. Finally, as an added enticement, you will be entered in a drawing to win gift certificates from the Hubbell House, Johnson’s General Store in Kasson, tickets to the Mantorville Theatre Company or even win a three month trial subscription to the Dodge County Independent.

You can participate in this event on any or all three days of your choice — Thursday, Friday or Saturday from the 11th to the 13th of May. Forms can be found on the Classified pages or picked up at the newspaper office at 301 S. Mantorville Ave. Suite 200 in Kasson.

Submit your garage sale ad by noon, Friday, April 28, via email (dci@kmtel.com) or in person Mon-Thur 10am-3pm. The cost is$15 for the first 20 words. All ads must be paid in advance.
