SURVIVAL DAYS 2023

A tradition in every Survival Days Parade is the yellow Jeep from Boe Auto Center. Below, left, Miss Minnesota Teen, Miss Minnesota, and Mrs. Minnesota all rode in the parade. Below, right, there were plenty of pies for everyone at the Trinity Lutheran Pie and Ice Cream Social. Friday night’s activities included the Garden Tractor Pull. Bottom, the horses, as is customary, came at the very end of the parade.

Above, visitors to last weekends’ Survival Days, took a break from the activities to enjoy food and beverages from the several food trucks and vendors on Main Street. At left, Stella Streich, Miss West Concord for 2022, gave her farewell speech Friday night, before crowning the new Miss West Concord for 2023. Below, members of the Guns and Hoses softball teams posed after their hard-fought game on Thursday night. The Guns took home the trophy with a 23-13 win over the Hoses. It was a charity game with the funds raised going to support mental health and suicide prevention.

The women of the Royal Order of Klondike Kates from the St. Paul Winter Carnival paid a summertime visit to West Concord’s Survival Days to ride in the parade and sing a few songs. They also stopped by the American Legion Hall earlier in the day to enjoy the breakfast and serenade some veterans with their military branch songs.
