Dodge County Stroll Friday at fairgrounds
Dodge County Stroll, the local version of Relay for Life returns to the Dodge County Fairgrounds Friday night beginning with the Survivor’s Reception an 4:30 p.m. followed by a silent auction, survivor and team laps around the grounds, an opening ceremony, entertainment, food, and concluding the lighting of the luminaries and the HOPE sign and the procession of participants led by bagpipers.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life movement is the world’s largest peer-to-peer fundraising event dedicated to savings lives from cancer. Funds raised through Relay for Life directly support cancer research, 24/7 support for cancer patients, access to lifesaving screenings, and more.
Honorary chairperson/survivor Keegan Bronson from Hayfield will be at the opening ceremony and will be sharing his story prior to the luminary ceremony.
Soma Unwind (Hannah Brown) Massages will be on site from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Throughout the evening teams will be selling food and other items to raise funds from 6 to 10 p.m. For the youngsters, there will be lawnmower kiddie train rides. There will also be Big Chair pictures, and a scavenger hunt. Details of the Scavenger Hunt will be available at the event and a phone is needed to participate.
The evening entertainment on the stage for this year will be 6 Mile Grove, sponsored by NextEra Energy Resources.
