Why I am supporting Carla Nelson

To the Editor:

I’d like to express my support for Carla Nelson as our next State Senator.

I was fortunate to serve with Carla in the House of Representatives when we were both elected in November 2002. I spent many hours working with Carla, and personally observed how hard she worked for all her constituents, regardless of political affiliation and whether they voted for her or not. She listens, diligently studies legislative initiatives and proposals on our behalf, skillfully helps with personal issues in dealing with state agencies and departments, and proudly welcomes visitors to our State Capitol.

Carla understood and thrived in her role as a State Representative, and now in her role as our State Senator. We need people like Carla representing us in state government!

Please join me in voting for Carla Nelson as our State Senator. She’ll work very hard for all of us, and our state government will continue to reap the benefits of an experienced and well respected State Senator!
