Why doesn’t Dodge County want additional property tax revenue

To the Editor:
A 5-home subdivision on our wooded, non-tillable property makes sense. The 33-acre
parcel is located on County Road 16, in the Byron School District.
By the Numbers:
$27,000+ in property tax income/year for a 5-home subdivision
0 acres of tillable land would be lost
$0.00 cost to county/township to plow/maintain subdivision cul-de-sac (HOA)
13 acres of the property will remain in natural state (over 1/3 of the property)
Why doesn’t Dodge County want the additional property tax dollars?
