Robert W. Wilson, 86, Kasson

Robert W. Wilson, 86, of Kasson, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Robert was born on April 30, 1935 in Hayfield, to Walter and Erma (Johnson) Wilson. Bob graduated from Hayfield High School in 1953 and went on to marry his wife Betty Jo Clark. 

They resided in Rochester where Bob worked at Quarve & Anderson Co. as a heavy equipment operator. They later moved to rural Dexter where Bob farmed and then later started Wilson Construction.

Bob was known for his ingenuity. He built an extensive amount of equipment including a self-propelled corn planter that caught the curiosity of John Deere and they later had to come and see. Bob also served on the Oaks Country Club board for many years and constructed the 18-hole golf course.

Bob is survived by his children, Kim (Deborah) Wilson of Dexter and Kerry Wilson; grandchildren Brad (Sue) Wilson, Tracie (Vern) Kerns, Angela (Derek) Thoen; greatgrandchildren, Curtis, Nikki, Jeffrey, Courtney, Dylan, Olyvia, Colin and Aiden; brother David (Suzanne) Wilson; sisters Bonnie (Larry) Spone and Barbara (Theo) Van Vooren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Curtis, Charles and Dallas.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 12 at 11a.m. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the memorial service at Evanger Lutheran Church, 33554 660 Ave. Sargeant.  A burial will be held at a later date at the Evanger Lutheran Church Cemetery.
