Craig Daryl Anderson, 65, Dodge Center
Craig Daryl Anderson of Dodge Center, MN passed away on Saturday, January 7th, 2023, at the age of 65. Craig was born on August 13th, 1957, in Mora, MN to J Richard and Violet Anderson. He graduated from Braham High School in 1976 and then attended Bethel University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music education. Craig started his career at Echo-Woodlake Schools and did some substitute teaching in Mora, MN. In 1983, he took a job with Claremont Public Schools, which later merged with Dodge Center and West Concord to form Triton Public Schools. Craig stayed with this school district for 39 years. Over his years at Triton, he developed many relationships with students and staff and was well-liked in the community he spent most of his life serving. In 1996, he married Debra Schultz and welcomed Deb’s two daughters into his life, Sarah and Anna. Craig and Deb added two more daughters to their family, Olivia and Kristina. Craig was a proud member of Faith Community Church in West Concord, MN where he served as the director of music for 28 years. Craig enjoyed birdwatching and loved spending time with his family, whether it was watching Olivia play basketball or attending Kristina’s horse shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J Richard and Violet Anderson, and by two infant brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deb Anderson; daughters, Sarah Taylor, Anna (Chris) Acker, Olivia Anderson, and Kristina Anderson; grandchildren, Henry, Ozzie, and Harvey; brother, Bruce (Linda) Anderson; and nephews and niece, Matt Anderson, Sarah Hallstrom, and Mark Anderson.
Funeral services for Craig will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13 th , 2023, at Triton High School (813 Hwy St W in Dodge Center, MN) in the main gymnasium. Visitation will take place beforehand, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Craig will be buried in Grasston, MN in the days following the service.
