KoMet Wrestlers Go 4-0 last week

The KoMet wrestling team picked up four dominating wins this past week.
On Thursday night, the KoMets celebrated Parent's Night and hosted a triangular with Triton and Goodhue.
KM rolled past Triton, 80-0 and then Goodhue, 49-15.
"Jamie is having us focus more on the fundamentals." said Freshman Joey Kennedy. 
Saturday, the KoMets headed to Caledonia for another triangular with Caledonia and Austin. It was a quick road trip down and back, as both teams struggle to fill a line-up.
The KoMets beat Caledonia 55-13 and Austin 78-0. Austin had 11 forfeits in their line-up.

State or No State?

That is the question. This past fall, there were no state tournaments allowed, per the MSHSL. There was great uncertainty on of how the winter sports would play out. Would post seasons and state tournaments be allowed?
The MSHSL has continued to work together with the Minnesota Department of Health, following the CDC guidelines, to build a model of what a safe section and state tournament could look like. At the last MSHSL meeting, the final plan was proposed and passed.
Section 1 provides one of our state's best atmospheres for the post season. All classes in Section 1 come together at the Mayo Civic Center. Fans from near and far enjoy watching Class A, AA, and AAA compete in the same arena. It feels like a mini-state tournament.

That will not be the case this year. To limit the total number of people, the three classes must separate.
The eight sections in Minnesota will be combined into four "super sections." Section 1 and Section 4 are merging together this year. One team will advance on to state and two individuals per weight class will advance out of this new super section model. State individuals will consist of 8-man brackets.

Post season dates will be as follows:
Wednesday, March 10th
Saturday, March 13th
Wednesday, March 17th
State: March 25-27
